エウェリーナ スコルヴォニスカ Ewelina Skowronska

エウェリーナさんはポーランド出身、東京を拠点に活動中のビジュアルアーティストです。
2004年にポーランド ヴロツワフ大学大学院で社会学科修士課程を修了、その後渡英し2013年イギリスのロンドン キャンヴウェル美術大学大学院の修士課程で版画を学ばれています。
現在は版画を中心に陶器による彫刻作品等、様々なメディアを使って女性の身体性と社会性をテーマに創作活動を展開しています。日本はもちろんポーランド、イギリス、カナダ、アメリカなど世界各地での作品発表とレジデンスの経験、そして受賞歴があります。
版画のみならず社会学も学ばれたエウェリーナさんが南島原の皆さんとどのような関係を構築してくれるのか、そしてどのような創作活動を展開してくれるのか本当に楽しみです。今はまだ日本在住の方しか招聘できませんがエウェリーナさんの招聘をきっかけに、近い将来国際的な公募も行なっていけるようにシステムを整えていきたいと考えています。
